lovely feeder, easy to use, and not bad to look at
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
got this feeder after much research, and couldn’t be happier. this is the only hummingbird feeder i’ve used (so i have no 1st hand comparrison), but i’m happy enough with this one that i’ve bought 2 more to give as gifts!
i hate the look of the cheap plastic flowers and the opaque red plastic tops they usually use for feeders, so this one got my attention for the classier look/ feel. it looks great in person, and though it is made of plastic, it has nice lines and an attractive finish.
it also lives up to its reputation in functionality and ease of use. haven’t had any problems with ants or bees/ wasps, no spillage, the hummers seem to like it (we have anna’s here), and we get a great view of them both flying and perching to drink. the clear plastic bottom allows us to see the ripples when they drink, which i think is uber cool. solidly built, easy to take apart and clean regularly.
make your own syrup with 1/4 cup white sugar to 1 cup water, easy as pie!
Ports too small
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
It’s a great hummingbird feeder in many respects but only about half of the local hummingbirds (SF Bay Area) like it. I think it’s because the feeder ports are too small, so they’re worried their beaks will get stuck. The feeder ports are lozenge-shaped rather than circular. That’s probably why the rain doesn’t get into the syrup. If your guests are mostly smaller hummingbirds, you’ll probably be OK.
I’m considering my options: putting up the ugly old, ant-attracting Perky Pets, taking a file to the holes on the Hummzinger or maybe trying a Droll Yankees’ feeder.

I like this hummzinger feeder. I love the big red cover that attracts the hummingbirds. I have had many different feeders through the years, and this is one of my favorites. On one of my other feeders, the red color has faded to a pale red or pink color. I doubt that this one will fade because of the materials that the feeder is made of. The only complaint that I have is that it is difficult to separate the top from the bottom. I would buy this product again.

This is my second feeder and I love it for the ease of use. This one was a b-day present for a friend. Easy to fill and clean and the little hummers love it.

I like the way it disassembles for cleaning and cleaning is not very difficult since it is dishwasher safe.
Since I am new to the hummingbird feeding scene I wasn’t aware that the feeder needed cleaned so often. The other down side is that there have not been too many visitors to the feeder. That may be due to my location (suburb of Pittsburgh). Or it could be that the feeder is down once every 4 days for cleaning. So, it’s not there consistently enough for the birds.
Nice feeder, too bad humingbirds don’t like it

Previously I bought a cheap-o feeder which looked more like a flower and had the inverted bottle on top, my hummingbirds loved it, but it dripped all over the place. I did a bit more research and found this one, hmmm, no leaking… Allright then, I bought it. I put it together, filled it up and hung it next to my cheap-o one that leaks all over the place. One bird came and landed on it, then flew away. That is all the action it saw. I have a ton of birds feeding on the drippy one, so I took the other feeder away thinking they were just used to that one. After a week, no birds feeding on this feeder. Every hour or two a bird would come and look for the old one, then take off. The old one is back, I hung a plastic bowl under it to catch the drippings, problem solved. Save your money, this thing is a dud. I’m giving it two stars because it doesn’t leak.

Didn’t work so well for us
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
We started off with the ‘common one’ the red one with 4 big flowers (perky pet 203? I think it is). It was hanging on our deck, and there was a hummer on it every 10 min. Worked great, but when it started leaking and dripping, we read reviews and got this one.
It’s really pretty, does not spill or leak, doesn’t just ‘blow with the wind’, but once we changed the feeder, the hummers just looked at it, flew away and stopped coming all together. Not fun.
Maybe it’s too reflective, I don’t know. We hung the feeder in a more shaded area, so it’s not so reflective, and my Husband got a bag of flower-shaped felt stickers with a hole in the middle (at walmart’s craft section) and stuck those on top of each red flower on the feeder.
That brought one hummer back, but we’re still looking into some other kind of feeder.
Excellent hummingbird feeder

Based on the great reviews for this product, I purchased 2 of these Hummzinger Fancy Hummingbird feeders. When mounting the feeder, I accidentally dropped it, but luckily, no problem – no cracks or chips. They really are durable – at least so far. Easy to clean, and no sight of ants or bees. Hummzinger definitely makes a quality product. You can tell that they put a lot of thought into their design.
As the box directions indicate, it’s easy to make your own hummingbird food. No need to purchase it. About a week after mounting the feeder in a shady area, the hummingbirds discovered our feeders. The hummingbirds are beautiful to watch. Even my skeptical husband who thought we’d never get any hummingbirds is enjoying seeing them feed.
I’m going to order some more as they make nice gifts for anyone who is a garden enthusiast.
Attracts hummingbirds like a magnet!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
We used to see a hummingbird now and then in the back yard so we decided to purchase one of these attractive units. BTW, it looks better than in the photos and attracts the birds like a magnet! After one day we decided to move it to a better viewing location and we saw several hummingbirds fly to the old spot, look back and forth and then buzz on over to the new place. They seem to love it and we are mixing our own nectar according to the recipe that comes with it. It is very easy to maintain and looks like a flying saucer jewel hanging from the patio roof. We have ordered four more to share with friends.
Best Hummingbird Feeder Money Can Buy!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This hummingbird feeder looks great, but more importantly, it works! This is the first hummingbird feeder that I’ve owned that I NEVER have problems with ants! It is super-easy to clean and fill, and the hummingbirds love it. I ended up ordering 3 because I had so many hummingbirds “fighting” over it. (If you feed hummingbirds you know how territorial they can be.) Another plus is that it doesn’t leak like many of the “tube” feeders, and even in summer thunderstorms it doesn’t spill. I highly recommend this hummingbird feeder.
Great design
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This feeder and the smaller one of the same design work very well for us. It’s easy to clean and fill, other birds sometimes drink water from the moat in the center, and the hummingbirds love it. They sit on the bar and stay for several minutes at a time.

Beautiful hummingbird feeder with large ant trap. Easy to care for and extremely happy.
Great Feeder
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This has been a great feeder — hummers found it almost immediately. It is the easiest feeder to clean — MUCH better than the jar/bottle type which were impossible to clean on the inside. The “fancy” aspect is also great — it’s almost like an ornament hanging on the porch. The only trouble that I’ve had was figuring out how to lift the red top portion to empty and clean it. After a few tries I discovered it to be simple if I lift up on the inner rim while at the same time lifting on the outter edge. Brilliant product for hummer-lovers
Fall in love with watching those cute little guys all over again!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Remember that last hummingbird feeder you owned that dripped constantly, attracted bumblebees and ants and required a little bottle brush to clean? You probably gave up in sheer frustration after a few months. Well those days are long gone – the first time you fill up your Hummzinger, you will be in love with hummingbird-watching all over again.
I’ve owned mine for four years. I love it because it’s never attracted any insects, never dripped, and cleans up easily with a sponge. The local hummers love it because they can perch and rest while they feed. I hung it from a cup hook on the eaves near the back patio door and watch them year round. It stays steady and dripless even in high winds.
Whoever designed this thing has not only a lot of common sense but a good eye for aestetics. The plainer version (mine) looks like a flying saucer, which suits me, but for Mother’s Day I got my mom this fancier one, which looks as if it could stack up against the pricier glass art feeders. The Hummzinger, however, wouldn’t shatter if it fell on the patio.
A few tips if you are planning on purchasing this:
1. Don’t bother with the replaceable insect guards that you can buy to insert into the feeding holes. They don’t do anything as far as I’m able to tell, but they are a pain and an expense.
2. Pass on the commercial nectar mixes and make your own by mixing one part sugar to four parts water (this recipe is permanently printed inside the feeder’s top!). No dyes. No need to boil. I realize that boiling the mixture is traditional advice, but it’s based on the mistaken notion that by sterilizing it you will keep bacteria and molds from spoiling it in the feeder. Turns out that the first time a hummingbird dips his beak into the mix, he introduces all that stuff instantly anyway. If, like me, you would be discouraged from changing it as often as you should because boiling and cooling it becomes a chore, this will free you up to be a better caretaker of your little friends. Oh, and they don’t need humans to add vitamin supplementation to their nectar because they get all that from the insects they eat.
3. Hang it where you can observe it easily from your home. Enjoy!
